Runway to room...

As a tribute to the legend that was Elizabeth Taylor, instead of an image from the runway, I am using a shot from her acclaimed movie, 'Cat on a hot tin roof' ...featuring the stunning Maggie, the 'cat' ,in the iconic white dress with Brick ( Paul Newman) in the background....if this image were to inspire  a room...

...it would look a lot like this... with soothing whites and greys and the lone cushion on the settee echoing the vivid coral of maggie's beautiful lips...

She was one of a kind to be certain. I remember watching this movie a few years back, it was amazing, she had a great talent. Janell

She was so regal looking...so exquisite. And what a movie that was..one for the history books. She will be terribly missed, but she left behind the best gift of all..a treasure trove of beautiful films to remember her by.

What a perfect image to room! She was such an iconic figure, and so larger than life, it is hard to believe that she is no longer here.

HOW do you do this? I just love this series -- you should keep it up.
And how you picked up the coral color of her lipstick with the pillow? Brilliant.

P.S. How fun would it be to have people submit pictures of their rooms and you could match it with a movie scene?

She was such a beautiful, iconic woman... one of the last of few classic ladies. We will always remember her...

Paloma, KC- thankyou!!
Camille- you are very generous with your praise! i'd love to interpret rooms from movie shots but the reverse would be way too complicated.
Onaiza- thanks!
Sarah- like no other!
