A day of remembrance...

It is exactly one week since the deadly earthquake and tsunami hit Japan.. With the country still grappling with the magnitude of this disaster , the situation continues to be grim ...with the added fear of a  potential nuclear disaster lurking over its head. Today as many in the blogging world are observing a day of silence, I would like to send out an appeal to all of you to come forward and show support ...keep the the people of Japan in your prayers and make donations if you wish.  Here are a few links to the relevant organisations through which donations can be made:

The world has been shocked by the level of devastation caused by the quake and tsunami in Japan..the situation is still far from clear but one thing is glaringly evident....the people of Japan are going to need all the support the world can offer..to rebulid their lives and heal their hearts... Do send out your prayers and if possible, donate money however much or little you can.

Why such fury...

With the terrible news of a massive earthquake in Japan followed by tsunami just streaming in, I cannot help but wonder what is causing so many natural disasters this year..Not even three months into 2011and the world has already seen three big natural disasters, starting from the Australian floods, the New Zealand earthquake and now this. Tsunami warnings have been issued to practically all countries along the Pacific.It brings back the horrors of the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. I hope and pray that it will end soon.
