Monday workspace...

After spending a good three hours watching the Oscars this morning (in India), it is only natural for today's workspace to have a generous dose of glamour & gold ... where those who were vying for the gold statuettes would have felt comfortable writing their acceptance speeches!! I will be generous and give them two...

...for the boy who turned three!!



Today was all about cake & gifts..The big party's on sunday. It's going to be a busy but fun weekend with a whole lot of 3 year olds! Hope you all are having a great time wherever you are! Happy weekend!

House tour- Tory Burch in Southampton...

 A 25 room palazzo, stretching a staggering 180 feet from end to end with a very formal architecture is lovingly transformed into an open, inviting home fit for a modern  family, while still retaining its essence and old-world charm. Have a look at Tory Burch's new home in Southampton..yet another feather in this uber-talented lady's overcrowded hat!

An avenue of sugar maples leading up to the main entrance of the 1929 antique redbrick mansion that Tory now calls home...

A former ballroom is now beautifully redecorated . Though it could still fit in well with the decor of  the 20's , the formality has now been replaced with approachability, comfort and warmth...

Tory in her Iznik-inspired dining room...which reminds me of the library at the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul...

I loved the collection by Marc Jacobs at the New York fashion week, with 'the soldier and the doll' as the underlying theme...it is poetic, charming and translates into an easy wardrobe...

Today I am loving...

This fabulous living room...unassuming and tasteful. The dark stained floor boards..striking in the predominantly white room. If you look at the decor closely...the furniture and the fun art... everything is really very simple and understated..But call it the quintessential Scandinavian touch...they do know how to create magic out of seemingly mundane stuff! The traditional Swedish fireplace,with its stunning detail, fits right in...
